The Hong Kong Prize (hk prize) is one of Asia’s premier scholarships, honoring high school students for their academic excellence and extracurricular engagement, encouraging them to follow their passions with global perspectives. Members from thirteen professional film bodies in Hong Kong cast votes for each category, and winners were revealed at an awards ceremony held late December.
US lawmakers have nominated five Hong Kong democracy activists – Joshua Wong, Lai Yin-wai and Chow Chun-ying among them – for the Nobel Peace Prize.
