What is the SGP Prize?
The Singapore Global Poetry Prize (SGPP Prize) is one of the country’s most beloved contests, an annual literary contest that recognizes Singaporean authors who create works in fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Submissions are judged by an impartial panel; winners receive a cash prize of S$50k which they receive upon winning! Winning entries published and sold both at major bookstores as well as online.
This award recognizes books that make significant contributions to Singaporean studies as an academic discipline. Submissions may be of any length and written in any of four languages: English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil and may focus on any time period, theme or field in Singapore history; they must also present topics which have not been extensively explored before. Book-length works must be co-authored between 1 June 2021 and 31 May 2024 and published prior to receiving this prize.
Supporting Singaporean writers through the Singapore Global Prize (SGP) is an incredible opportunity. However, it should be remembered that it should not replace existing academic prizes but act as a supplement that helps new and emerging writers in their careers.
The Singapore Global Publishers Awards is an incredible platform for Singaporeans to show off their talents. Authors and readers can connect through it, while sharing knowledge of our world with each other and beyond. Likewise, authors stand the chance of winning big and many have already done so!
Same game parlays are an increasingly popular type of sports bet, enabling bettors to combine multiple outcomes in a single wager. Their odds and payouts differ based on each leg; typically though, their overall returns tend to be higher than regular parlays. Some sportsbooks even provide insurance and free bets on same-game parlays to increase your chances of success and attract more bettors to betting websites.
Same game parlays (SGPs) that exhibit an obvious relationship among teams are known as correlated bets; that means you are betting on one team with each player combining for an over/under combination or touchdown scorer as part of one SGP bet. Sportsbooks once blocked such bets but now embrace them and market them actively to attract more bettors.
The Equator Prize 2024 is an internationally-recognized award which honors projects that protect and restore the environment while improving people’s wellbeing. Funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), projects this year were implemented in Iran, Morocco, Senegal, Colombia, Kenya and Bangladesh – with this year alone receiving over 300 applications from 68 different nations! Winners received funding through UNDP’s Small Grants Programme (SGP), so their plans can be implemented within their communities.
