Using Domino As a Word and a Metaphor

Domino is a Latin term meaning “complete control.” The name has an authoritative tone and imparts a sense of leadership and expertise, making it popularly used by businesses, organizations, and products that want to convey this sense. Many businesses employ domino as their slogan or catchphrase; many CEOs even choose it for personal names or company brand names such as Domino’s pizza chain!

Domino’s Pizza was established by Peter Monaghan in 1967 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Monaghan focused on providing quick service with quick response times to any customer issues or complaints, quickly responding to these to form the core values that helped Domino’s establish its successful foundation and reach 200 stores by 1978.

The word domino has long been associated with both games and metaphors. A domino set consists of 28 tiles arranged in a circle to allow players to engage in numerous variations on this classic board game; such as block and scoring games that involve emptying one’s hand while blocking opponents from playing; scoring games like Bergen Muggins are played using scoring tiles that record points earned through counting individual pips on every tile.

Another use of domino refers to events or actions that take place one after the other in succession, as though building upon each other. This type of effect can often be seen in movies where one character sets off an inciting incident which ultimately destroys an entire city; similarly, such effects are used by writers to heighten tension and convey a sense of impending doom for characters in stories.

If a writer relies on pantster technique or does not utilize an outline when plotting their novel in advance, they may end up with scenes that don’t make much sense. When this occurs, it is critical to examine how each scene relates to one before; for example if an immoral act by their hero occurs then readers need enough reasoning as to why their hero would take such risks in subsequent scenes.

Domino is a mutant who utilizes her powers to bend probability laws. She began her career as a mercenary, assigned to bodyguard genius Milo Thurman (with whom she fell in love). Later she joined Storm’s security task force on Utopia Island before serving with X-Force alongside Cable, Deadpool, Grizzly Bear, Copycat and many others – even admitting her weakness for men. Though she may have an ability for manipulating probability laws, Domino admits her romantic interests for men – including brief romances with both Colossus and Cable (with whom she fell deeply).
